Richard Nichols, DDS
Dr. Richard Nichols has been providing dental care in Colorado since 1989. Originally from Topeka, Kansas, he earned his dental degree from the University of Nebraska in Lincoln before making Colorado his home. He owned and operated dental practices in Bailey and Littleton for more than three decades, building a career centered on comprehensive, patient-focused care.
Dr. Nichols has pursued extensive advanced training in occlusion and temporomandibular (TMJ) disorders, including specialized education at the Dawson Academy and the Piper Education and Resource Center. This training has given him a comprehensive approach to treating complex bite and jaw concerns. After retiring from private practice in 2025, Dr. Nichols quickly realized how much he missed dentistry—and returned to doing what he loves. He now practices dentistry in Arvada, where he enjoys connecting with patients and providing thoughtful, personalized care.
Outside the office, Dr. Nichols enjoys sharing a passion for vintage sportscar racing with his wife and daughter and is a two-time national champion. He also enjoys playing guitar, hunting, and tactical pistol shooting.
